We hung out with friends in Park Slope last night and had a great time. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at A.O.C. Bistro and literally shut the place down! As a result, we enjoyed a much needed sleep in this morning. But it was nice to see how people like us have made their home in Brooklyn as compared to the Manhattan style of nesting. Big difference. So much more to what we're used to (street parking, houses separate from businesses), but the neighborhoods are infused with cool brownstones, tons of trees, nice wide sidewalks, and big parks. But like Manhattan, it is quite walkable for grocery runs or dining out. And it was quite nice taking the train home instead of assigning a driver to get back after a night of debauchery. :)
This afternoon the babies went to his first visit to St. Mark's Vet. Such nice people and I feel we're in good hands. Then this afternoon little B & I went to check out Thompkins Square park where there was a farmers market and a dog park. Good times...
